Basil. Latin Name: Ocimum basilicum L.
Habitat: Grows in lowland until height of 1300 m above sea level.
Description of the plant: Plants are upright shrub with a distinctive odor, reaching 1.5 meters high. The flowers are shaped grains lipped white and pink. The seeds when in contact with water bubbling gelatinous.
